What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage?

MLD is a specialised massage therapy where the practitioner works on the skin with gentle circular, pumping or spiral movements. It stimulates the lymphatic system, which transports fluids that are vital to the defence of the body and it also eliminates toxins. The treatment is both preventative and remedial and can enhance your wellbeing. It is widely used for a general detox to help cleanse the body from the inside out, and as an energiser to boost performance.

What can it help with?

MLD is a deeply relaxing treatment and can help more than 60 conditions including gout, arthritis, constipation, sinusitis, catarrh, whiplash, ulcers, bloating and skin complaints such as acne and eczema. It is an effective component of the treatment and control of lymphoedema.
